Simulation
of Electromagnetic Field Exposure in Resonant Environments
A four-year collaborative research
project supported by the UK DTI under the
Technology Programme priority
“Design, Simulation and Modelling”
(DTI reference: TP/3/DSM/6/I/15266) This project addresses the development and
experimental validation of large-scale simulation techniques for
characterising electromagnetic fields due to radio transmissions in resonant
environments, and hence assessing their safety. Although the project focuses
on automotive and aerospace case studies for demonstration purposes, the
results are expected to be relevant to similar applications (eg. rail,
marine, buildings) and may also be of interest for related activities (eg.
numerical modelling for electromagnetic compatibility and antenna engineering
studies). Links to other projects and research programmes that may be of interest can be found here. Please direct comments regarding the
